Paquito D’Rivera, iconic Cuban American virtuoso of the clarinet and saxophone, composer and fourteen-time Grammy winner in both jazz and classical categories brings his unique blend of a global sensitivity to the Jazz Forum. He is the winner of fourteen Grammy Awards, is celebrated both for his artistry in Latin jazz and his achievements as a classical composer. Wallace Roney Quintet

Wallace Roney is one of the few trumpeters in his generation who learned and perfected his craft directly from alliances with Jazz Masters. Roney took lessons from Clark Terry and Dizzy Gillespie and is the only trumpeter who was personally taught by Miles Davis. Roney is heralded as an “improviser who loves complicated almost mathematical lines and who performs with catlike grace” by the New York Times. See the Wallace Roney Quintet – featuring Emilio Modeste, sax, Oscar Williams, piano, Paul Caffari, bass, and Eric Allen, drums!

Christian Sands is currently one of the most in-demand pianists working in Jazz. Wynton Marsalis named him a “Jazz star of the future,” and he’s enjoyed a position in Christian McBride’s trio for the last several years. Hiromi Kasuga Quartet Celebrates Jazz Forum’s 2nd Anniversary!

Hiromi Kasuga, a jazz pianist, composer, and arranger, began her musical life at the age of six by playing classical piano. In 2009, she produced her CD, “New York Callin'”, which was named to the Top Ten Jazz CD’s of 2009 by Epoch Times. Her newest album,”Rising Sun”, was just released, and is her finest compilation of original tunes, standard and popular songs.

Hiromi Kasuga will be performing with Alex Norris (Tp), Harvie S (Bass) and Jason Tiemann (drums) at the Jazz Forum!
