2018 Jazz Congress Coming to
Jazz at Lincoln Center on January 11-12

First annual Jazz Congress conference organized by JazzTimes and Jazz at Lincoln Center
Jazz at Lincoln Center and JazzTimes have joined forces to co-produce the Jazz Congress, a new annual conference designed to bring together artists, media and industry leaders in the global jazz community to exchange ideas and resources. The 2018 Jazz Congress, featuring a series of panels, workshops, meetings and performances, will be held on January 11-12, 2018 at Frederick P. Rose Hall, home of Jazz at Lincoln Center, located at Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York. The 2018 Jazz Congress schedule of events will be announced soon.

The conference offers attendees a unique opportunity to learn new strategies and best practices in order to better market their music and services. Sessions include topics such as the importance of video, alternative venues for jazz performance, radio programming and promotion, developing a brand for yourself or your organization, effective use of digital media, jazz in film and TV soundtracks and much more. In addition, there will be some topical discussions on politics, race and gender.  The gathering is a once-a-year opportunity for jazz industry professionals and artists to network with their peers. The conference will be attended by artists, managers, agents, presenters, radio programmers, journalists, record label representatives and others.

The Early Bird pre-registration rate is only $125 through November 15, 2017, after which the pre-registration rate rises to $175.

Members of various organizations—including NARAS, AFM Local 802, Chamber Music America, APAP, Jazz Journalists Association, ASCAP, BMI and SESAC—can receive an additional 15% discount off pre-registration. Members should contact their organization for the promo code.
