We’re live with Jazz Forum @ Home including weekly free-of-charge Facebook Live Streaming series from artists’ homes on Saturdays at 7 pm EDT. Tune in, enjoy and keep in touch for more of your favorite live music.
I got to know trumpeter Dean Pratt when he played lead in my rehearsal big band (1978-79) at 50 Cooper Square, before I even opened the Jazz Forum in that location. Dig these pictures of the Dean Pratt Big Band at the second Jazz Forum at 648 Broadway, NYC on July 11, 1982. Yep, that’s drum legend Mel Lewis, hanging with Dean and the cats at the bar I built with my partner, Tony Giuliano!
For parents, grandparents and caretakers who are at home with kids, Jitterbugs is here for you! We are sharing videos and activities to keep yourselves and your children musically busy. Enjoy!
Visit the House of Sound
Come with us into the House of Sound to learn about how woodwind instruments make a sound. If you have instruments at home, this is the moment to try them out together!
Please donate to Jazz Forum Arts or become a member. Every little bit helps.
Your contributions ensure that the Jazz Forum will reopen as soon as the restrictions are lifted and that we will present our Summer 2020 Free Concerts.
No matter what, we will continue to bring the joy and sustenance of Jazz to everyone right here in Westchester!
Jim Eigo is very well connected, and extremely helpful in building our label’s catalog and getting us significiant media coverage in JazzTimes and Down Beat, The New York Times, Village Voice, Washington Post, and many major websites.
Jim also found us legal counsel, package designers, radio promoters and retail marketing consultants. We give Jim five stars in every respect!
