Acclaimed as ‘the revelation’ of Brazilian Jazz, performed with Michel Legrand (3 Time Oscar Winner ) last year : Fancy, charming, unique …those are some important skills that made Michel Legrand admire Patty Ascher’s talent.
Her first album, with Burt Bacharach greatest hits in Bossa Nova Rythym – produced by Roberto Menescal, one of Bossa Nova’s Fathers – was ‘best selling’ in Brazil (2007).
Patty Ascher was the youngest star at the First Worldwide Bossa Nova Cruiser with sold out tickets last March and now she’s going to Las Vegas to perform at 2010 Labor Day Telethon, live from South Point Casino, and will be in NYC for just one night show at Feinstein’s on Sept 2nd, 8:30 PM.
Greatest hits like
Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head, Close to You and
A House is not a Home, composed by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, will be side by side with
The Summer Knows, How do you Keep the Music Playing, La Valse des Lilas, and some others master pieces composed by Michel Legrand. Tom Jobim – Brazilian great composer & arrangement, Bacharach and Legrand’s contemporary – won’t be forgotten.
