His prolific career has brought him to all corners of the world playing with every musician you can think of including Harry “Sweets” Edison, Freddie Hubbard, Ron Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Lee Morgan, Eric Dolphy, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Sonny Rollins, Billy Eckstine, and everyone in between.
Over 60 musicians to appear including Jack DeJohnette, Don Byron, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Barry Harris, Andrew Cyrille, Nasheet Waits, Eric McPherson, Paul West, Mickey Bass, Marcus Baylor, Craig Harris, Bob Stewart, Jack Walrath, Freddie Hendrix, E.J. Strickland, Patience Higgins, Warren Smith, Don Sickler, Taru Alexander, among others.

Unfortunately, in recent years, Charli Persip has been struggling with illness. Due to this, he has had to stop doing what he loves the most, performing and teaching. This has left him to fall on hard times financially due to medical bills.
