Jason Marsalis
and the 21st Century Trad Band

Jason Marsalis is an American jazz drummer, vibraphonist and percussionist and the son of pianist and music educator Ellis Marsalis and his wife Dolores, and the youngest sibling of Wynton, Branford and Delfeayo. Together, the four brothers and their patriarch Ellis, comprise New Orleans venerable first family of jazz.

In 2009, the Marsalis Family received the NEA Jazz Masters award. With a fire in his heart, Jason Marsalis’ will to swing has never been more resolute. The maturity and command he possesses over his music is clearly evident to those who have heard or seen him.


Nanny Assis Group Featuring Daniel Assis

Despite the grandeur of the folks with whom he’s sided, Nanny has always managed to find his forte. With a great ability to perform Bossa Nova, Brazilian Jazz, Forro and a myriad of Afro-Brazilian sounds, Nanny has cheered audiences around the world and has shown particular skills in engaging the public with personal charisma and unique stage interaction.

Dani Assis 18, is a 3 time all-state choir member in the state of Connecticut and Kansas, has won the Connecticut fine arts associations award 2019.

Sherma Andrews
“The Legendary Lady Singers”

Singer/songwriter Sherma Andrews’s perfect pitch and her ability to play any song after only one listening set her off to a great musical career. Sherma developed “The Legendary Lady Singers” where she performs the hit songs of some of the greatest female singers, and delivers a dynamic blast of entertainment worth seeing over and over again!


Charnett Moffett Trio

Out June 21st on Motema Music, Charnett Moffett’s Bright New Day represents a new chapter in his expanding legacy of jazz innovation. Internationally acclaimed for his pyrotechnic acoustic bass work Moffett changes the game now, appearing for the first time exclusively on fretless electric bass.

NEA Jazz Master Joanne Brackeen Trio

Whatever the musical setting—whether solo, duo, trio, quartet, or quintet—pianist Joanne Brackeen’s unique style of playing commands attention. In addition to her captivating and complex improvisations, she has written intricate, rhythmically daring compositions in a wide stylistic range.


Maggie Gould Brazilian Jazz with Full Band + Special Guests

Maggie Gould, vocalist originally from New Zealand returns to Jazz Forum with her fantastic New York band. Music from her CD ToDo Amor – musical director Nanny Assis, with inspiration form Ivan Lins, Chet baker, Gilberto, Jobim. Her music is described as soft sultry vocals with space, her performance has taken tours internationally form jazz festivals to Rome, London New York and LA.

Celebrating its 5th year in collaboration with Jazz at Lincoln Center, Caramoor’s Jazz Festival returns with phenomenal talent and music throughout the stunning gardens and historical venues.
