Come celebrate Bastille Day with singer Pascalito and his international band at Opia, a cool and swanky lounge in the Renaissance hotel this coming Monday, July 11th. Billed by Jazz Times as “Manhattan’s French Connection”, Pascalito (aka Pascal Sabattier) has prepared a festive musical night blending French chansons with North American jazz and Latin influences, performing with a “revolutionary” spirit. This is a free concert. Vive la Revolution! Viva la Vida! Viva Pascalito! 🙂

“A French Gothamite, young singer Pascalito plies his light, handsome voice in a breezy mix of bossa nova, musette, jazz and pop with a smooth-rolling band” Time Out New York

“French-born, NYC-based singer / Wall Street banker Pascalito has a pleasant voice that recalls Aznavour and Caetano Veloso with a hint of Chet Baker. He offers a wide range of styles on his Neostalgia …  a successful bridging of Mediterranean and Latin musical cultures”  Brad Walseth – Jazz Chicago.net

“A unique position in the music business: pop, chanson, bossa nova, noir-ish night music, seductive Spanish-tinged melodies, tango and more … a melting pot of delicious musical morsels from around the world”

Dan Bilawsky – All About Jazz

“A beautiful album, reminiscent of the soundtrack for the classic French film Un Homme et une Femme (a Man and a Woman)”
Randy Morse – The Best of Brazil

“Pascalito (Pascal Sabattier), Manhattan’s French connection, is a bandleader, songwriter and vocalist or as he bilingually bills himself a ‘world chanteur’. Light, rich-voiced, in true Aznavour spirit, he is at once a fine pop-jazz stylist and a superb storyteller. His second album, Neostalgia, is a luxuriant tapestry blending his passion for pop, jazz, bossa nova, flamenco, swing, blues and tango”

Christopher Loudon – Jazz Times

“This is a mix of Now Sound and back alley sophistication” Chris Spector – Midwest Record

“A trip around the world of varying cultures: the combination of Latin Jazz, Bossa Nova, Blues, Swing and Mediterranean folksongs is as global as it gets. This handsome young man seduces us with his clarity of vocal prowess and with the sensual sound of his own compositions here mixed very well with well known songs such as ‘Here comes the rain again’, ‘Dans mon lle’‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, and ‘Love theme from Spartacus’. Beautiful music, beautifully performed” Grady Harp – Amazon.com

“Músico francês faz sucesso cantando Bossa Nova” Comunidade News (Brazilian Press)

“Suavemente. Le Poète New Yorkais” French Morning
