Gabriela Martina is a Boston/New York-based composer, vocalist and producer (originally from Switzerland) whose debut album
'No White Shoes’ gained a
4-star review in Downbeat Magazine.
Gabriela Martina has performed and collaborated with musicians like
Meshell Ndegeocello, Jack DeJohnette,
John Medeski and
Angelique Kidjo. She has recorded with veteran drummer
J.R. Robinson and performed at
2009 Montreux Jazz Festival with guitarist
Lee Ritenour’s band as a semi-finalist in the
Shure Voice Competition.
She is currently working on her upcoming album ‘
Hommage to Grämlis’, for which she just released the first video single ‘
Song for My Father’. Another new piece, ‘
Mother Mary’will be released in the next few weeks. She will be presenting a preview of her Swiss Jodeling mixed with Jazz at the show at Triad Theatre in NYC.
