Living like a famed jazz trumpeter can sometimes cost a song.
A roughly 500-square-foot co-op in an Upper West Side townhouse — a four-story property that Miles Davis once called home — has sold for $500,000, The Post has learned.

Davis resided in this building at 312 W. 77th St. for 25 years — before it was separated into six apartments — and often hung out with nearby residents on its stoop, according to The Post’s Jennifer Gould, who reported on the unit earlier this summer. Davis also reportedly entertained other jazz greats at the spread, including Dizzy Gillespie, Herbie Hancock and Art Blakey.
This one-bedroom, second-floor pad hit the market for $495,000 in May and quickly entered contract.
Without surprise, a woman who “loves” the building’s jazz-music history won the bid for this unit, according to Realtor.com. But the site does note that Davis lived here during a dark period of heavy drug use and health issues.
The apartment comes with high ceilings, wood floors, a kitchen that opens into the sunken living room and bay windows with northern exposure. Added perks include exposed brick details and a fireplace.
Kristina and Goran Ojdanic of the Corcoran Group marketed this listing.
