Who needs a large vinyl record player when you’ve got a RokBlok?
Kickstarter is known for offering products not generally seen in the mainstream. But, what about this portable vinyl record player?

Introducing RokBlok. RokBlok bills itself as the “world’s smallest record player.” According to the product description, this block plays your records by lightly spinning on top of them. There are also built-in speakers, as well as Bluetooth wireless connectivity. The product description says,
“RokBlok was designed for current vinyl lovers, and those new to records alike. If you love vinyl, have ever been remotely interested in buying a record or two, or would just like the ability to listen to records outside of your living room, RokBlok is for you.”

So, how exactly does RokBlok work? According to a video, you simply place it on top of your record. Pull the level, and the product will start playing your tunes. It will simply drive around the record surface in circles. If you want to stop, just hold your hand above the moving record player. According to the creator, the product features smooth rubber wheels that won’t hurt your record.

Wireless works within a range of 30 feet, so don’t stray too far. RokBlok sends the music straight to your speakers or headphones.
In order to RokBlok to work, you’ll have to place a record on a flat surface. The product description reads,
“Want to listen to Dylan in your bedroom? No problem. Wanna share your favorite Gil Scott Heron press with some friends at a park? Go for it. With it’s tiny profile, you can listen to your favorite records anywhere you can find a flat surface…yes, anywhere. ”

The product can play 45 and 33 1/3 records. The product only weighs 3.2 ounces. It also features a rechargeable battery that allows up to 4 hours of music playback. The disadvantage? You’ll have to charge the device for 2 hours.
