Thanks to Fred Goodman.
The Guggenheim Museum recently put digitized versions of about 200 of their exhibit catalogs online. One of them is from a joint exhibit of the collections of Nesuhi Ertegun and the French publisher Daniel Filipacchi, who was Nesuhi's buddy and also a big jazz nut. They both collected surrealists, and the catalog is ridiculous — like 800 pages. But the thing I really wanted to point you toward is the interview with Filipacchi that begins on page 14. You'll love it.
