Singer Roseanna Vitro has had great success with her strikingly soulful tributes to Ray Charles (1997’s Catchin’ Some Rays) and Bill Evans (2001’s Conviction). Her collection of radically re-imagined Randy Newman originals like “Last Night I Had a Dream,” “In Germany Before the War” and “Sail Away” provides sterling arrangements by pianist Mark Soskin and stirring performances by violinist Sara Caswell. Throughout Jazz singer Carmen Lundy’s career, her music has been critically acclaimed by The New York Times, The Village Voice, The Los Angeles Times, Variety, The Washington Post, Jazz Times, Jazziz, Downbeat and Vanity Fair among many others. Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners proclaimed January 25th “Carmen Lundy Day” and she received the keys to the City of Miami.

One marker of bassist Michael Formanek’s creativity and versatility is the range of distinguished musicians of several generations he’s worked with. His principal recording and international touring vehicle is his acclaimed quartet with Tim Berne on alto saxophone, Craig Taborn on piano and Gerald Cleaver on drums. 

Jason Marsalis is an American jazz drummer, vibraphonist and percussionist and the son of pianist and music educator Ellis Marsalis and his wife Dolores, and the youngest sibling of Wynton, Branford and Delfeayo. Together, the four brothers and their patriarch Ellis, comprise New Orleans venerable first family of jazz.

In 2009, the Marsalis Family received the NEA Jazz Masters award. With a fire in his heart, Jason Marsalis’ will to swing has never been more resolute. The maturity and command he possesses over his music is clearly evident to those who have heard or seen him.

Despite the grandeur of the folks with whom he’s sided, Nanny has always managed to find his forte. With a great ability to perform Bossa Nova, Brazilian Jazz, Forro and a myriad of Afro-Brazilian sounds, Nanny has cheered audiences around the world and has shown particular skills in engaging the public with personal charisma and unique stage interaction.

Dani Assis 18, is a 3 time all-state choir member in the state of Connecticut and Kansas, has won the Connecticut fine arts associations award 2019.
