Jazz Cabaret legend, British-based Barb Jungr returns to Joe’s Pub, her spiritual home in NYC, for the world premiere of a collection of songs written by Sting. In collaboration with Grammy and Emmy winning musical supremo John McDaniel, with whom she created the 5-star reviewed CD and show of Beatles material, “Come Together”,  Jungr and McDaniel reveal the beauty and breadth of Sting’s extraordinary repertoire.  Through a set that includes “Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic, “Until,” “Every Breath You Take,” “Englishman In New York,”, “Fragile” and more, Barb and John explore Sting’s work, finding quiet beauty, intensity, politics and passion.

In 2017 Jungr released her 9th recording internationally on Linn Records collaborating with US piano virtuoso Laurence Hobgood. The album, which received critical raves was named on of the top albums of 2016 by Jazzwise. Jungr’s work has received 4 and 5 star reviews in the UK, The USA and Australia. She is now also preforming regularly in Berlin. During her long career she has performed on 4 continents. In 2017 Jungr also released a an album of Beatles explorations with Broadway arranger and Emmy-winning music director John McDaniel, which has gained more raves. Her live work has made her a cult star, known for her humor and drama combined, it’s a heady mix, which made UK  television star and gay pioneer Julian Clary call her “a one woman emotional enema and not for the faint hearted.” Jeremy Irons and Billy Bragg are known fans, Bragg called her “possibly our best interpreter of Dylan’s songs”. The Wall Street Journal called her 2002 exploration of Dylan “one of the most significant vocal albums of the century thus far” and recently said she “brings the same creativity for reinterpretation and re-examination that Ella Fitzgerald brought to Cole Porter.”

JOHN McDANIEL is a Grammy and two-time Emmy Award winning Composer, Music Director, Arranger, Orchestrator, Theatrical and Record Producer and is the Artistic Director of the Tony Award winning O’Neill Theater Center’s Cabaret and Performance conference.  John has arranged, orchestrated and/or music directed ten shows on Broadway.

“It’s as if Edith Piaf and Nick Cave had a love-child, who was adopted by Carmen McRae.” GLAM ADELAIDE

“On stage she’s a lioness.” SYDNEY HERALD

“Barb Jungr’s art makes a grand argument for her being the most innovative singer in jazz since Cassandra Wilson.” ALL ABOUT JAZZ  “Astonishing theatrical bravura” NEW YORK TIMES  “The brilliant jazz singer on world-beating form…she is the alchemist among jazz singers. She is truly a marvel, who should not be missed.” THE TELEGRAPH 4 stars

SenaneS 3 in New York

The Green Light Tour 2017

From left to right: Diego Arnal, Pablo Marcovsky and Gabriel Senanes

SenaneS 3 is not one trio but several. In fact, its members (Gabriel Senanes on sax, guitar and bansuri, Pablo Marcovsky on piano and melodica, and Diego Arnal on bass and guitar), exchanging instruments, create different groups, even during the same piece. Different trios and different duos, solos, and even different silences.

The repertoire consists of Senanes’ compositions, in a language that uniquely combines argentine folk music, tango, jazz, contemporary chamber music,  and probably much more, who knows. He calls this combination “ArgenTangLore” or “Argentangloric music”.

Therefore, the complete formula is:
SenaneS 3 = Pablo + Diego + Gabriel = Argentinean Folk + Tango + Jazz + Contemporary + who knows.

SenaneS 3 – “Trifulca” – Live

This June, they will be playing in NYC for the first time:

  • Wednesday June 21st. 6 pm.  Consulate General of Argentina: 12 West 56 St. RSVP culturales@cnyor.com

Friday June 23rd. from 11-3pm and Saturday 24th, 3-7pm.

Gabriel Senanes will be Artist in Residence at CUNY from June 19th to 30th.

Gabriel Senanes is an Argentine composer and conductor, and a sax, guitar and piano player. His works have been recorded extensively and have received numerous awards. Steve Slagle on Alto Sax and Flute leads a new recording with a great line-up of diverse players who inspire a wide range of music playing five new exciting originals for the first time, as well as two classics and one solo alto sax piece.

Alto Manhattan, is latino for the NYC neighborhood steve lives in-‘upper manhattan’or ‘the heights’ and the program here is: FAMILY—This composition for 2 saxes+2 drums is pure jazz, with Cuba and Africa in the make-up of what is a big family. Note Roman Diaz, from Cuba, and his great sound on Conga, as well as the whole group inter-play–all in the family! ALTO MANHATTAN, song #2 is so nice they play it twice! The first fiery take is with quartet and then later down the line Joe Lovano is added on tenor to create another harmony ( A.M.) Bill Stewarts contribution,on both takes, proves,as many know, he is one of a kind as a drummer.

I KNOW THAT YOU KNOW is a lyrical alto blues oriented song that allows everyone to ‘let their hair down’. Bassist Gerald Cannon gets all the way down here!

BODY+SOUL showcases Steve’s Alto alone, joining the canon of sax players who have attempted this classic ballad as a solo piece. Done in one take, Steve references Monk,Duke,’Bird and Ornette (twice!) within the structure of this classic song.

INCEPTION came about after Slagle recently was asked to play with McCoy Tyners Quartet. This challenging McCoy composition eventually opens up into an extended minor blues. This is the first take of the date and notice the immediate empathy of all the players! I GUESS I’LL HANG MY TEARS OUT TO DRY, a beautiful ballad starting with the often forgotten verse, is given the romantic treatment here..Lawrence Fields piano mastery helps make this a shining version of a deep song.

Finally Alto Manhattan ends with two flute pieces which are also very central to the sound of the record. HOLIDAY, the most thru-composed piece of the date,Slagle first wrote with harmonica master Toots Thielman in mind and dedicates this first recording of the song in memory of maestro Toots. Joe Lovanos G mezzo soprano along with the sound of the flute really takes the listener on a musical vacation.

And with that, we have VIVA LA FAMALIA to end the proceedings — a jam for 2 drums, bass and the flute lead. A fresh, original first take played spontaneously at the end of this unique and outstanding recording. Yes,Viva la Famalia!!

Introducing the new John Colianni Jazz Sextet.
Since its performance debut in January, 2016 the 17 piece John Colianni Jazz Orchestra has been creating a sensation amongst a growing number of fans in the New York area with its fresh and exciting perspective on big band jazz. Showcasing Colianni’s original arrangements of both his own compositions and others from the jazz repertory, the JCJO is creating original modern jazz that really swings.

Now we are proud to introduce the equally exciting John Colianni Jazz Sextet. Characterized by its swing influenced rhythm section which features piano bass drums and rhythm guitar, and its two tenor front line in the tradition of the many great two tenor groups the new John Colianni Jazz Sextet reflects Colianni’s unique and personal concept of modern jazz that swings in a small group format. And (like the John Colianni Jazz Orchestra) creates a unique sound that stands out from the crowd.

Pianist John Colianni’s 30 plus years of high profile  gigs with Lionel Hampton, Mel Torme and Les Paul to name a few, as well as his appearances as a leader and co-leader have brought him broad exposure to an international audience. His dazzling virtuosity and ferociously swinging style have drawn frequent comparisons to Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson and have earned him the well-deserved nickname “Johnny Chops” from enthusiastic fans.

John’s current projects – the John Colianni Jazz Orchestra and the John Colianni Jazz Sextet expands the spotlight to John’s spectacular creative gifts as a prolific composer arranger and bandleader while continuing to feature his skills as a pianist, as well as the talents of the many gifted sidemen in his band.
The John Colianni Jazz Sextet will be issuing its first CD release in the Summer of 2017 and the John Coliianni Jazz Orchestra winter 2018.

Introducing:

New York, NY 10012

Tickets & Info

REVIEWS:
“Alexis Parsons” – List of Best CD’s of 2012
by DownBeat Magazine – January 2013

“All these songs of love have their anchor in the paradoxical world reflected  by Alexis Parsons’ self-titled series of tomes on the theme of conflicted, difficult arrangements (Self Release; 40:35 ★★★★).

Accompanied by pianist Frank Kimbrough, the bloom’s off as Parsons delivers an unmannered “The Winter Of My Discontent,” followed by a wistful look back with “Hello Young Lovers,” only to be followed up by a rare, upbeat swinger with “Just Squeeze Me.” The mood is melancholic, as the more seasoned Parsons’ breathy, desultory delivery reminds us that love is not a game to be entered into lightly.”

By John Ephland – “Sirens of Today” – DownBeat Magazine

“….she deserves as much credit for her storytelling abilities as she does for her singing.  She inhabits these songs as if they represent her very being, making Alexis Parsons an alluring listen from start to finish.”

By Dan Bilawsky – All About Jazz

“…she puts everything on the line with a piano and voice recording that would leave the less experienced artist fully exposed and ripe for a potentially critical cyber autopsy…”

Ted Chubb delivers a fresh approach to modern jazz, drawing the listener in with striking originals and reimagined classics, while keeping the audience swinging and partying along. Ted tells a musical story reminiscent of the sophistication of Miles Davis, Chet Baker, Frank Sinatra, and Ahmad Jamal, mixed with the funky swagger of Lee Morgan, and interpreted through the lens of a new era and a wide palate of diverse musical influences.

The Snarky Horns 4:00PM

The horn section The Snarky Horns are the long time horn section for the Multi-Grammy award winning group Snarky Puppy. In addition to creating a distinctive sound with SP, the section has been called upon to perform or record with a stylistically wide range of artists including David Crosby, Beyonce, Phish, Soulive, Jon Medeski, Railroad Earth, Eric Harland’s Voyager, Lucy Woodward, Chantae Cann, Jazz is Phish, The Everyone Orchestra, and many others. the three-time Grammy-winning band Snarky Puppy offers an exciting mash-up of jazz, funk, R&B, world music, pop and more. Don’t call this critically acclaimed ensemble a jam band or a fusion band, but don’t be surprised to hear some of those elements.

Moore’s Lounge All-Stars feat. Wycliffe Gordon 5:30PM

Since his early work with Wynton Marsalis, Wycliffe has gone on to record over 25 albums as a leader and countless others as a sideman. Dave Valentin Celebration of Life

MONDAY, JUNE 12th 6pm

SAINT PETER’S CHURCH

619 Lexington Avenue at 54th St.
New York, NY 10022

(Bronx, NY) A Musical Celebration of Life for the renowned Latin jazz flautist Dave Valentin will take place Monday, June 12, beginning at 6 PM at St. Peter’s Church, 619 Lexington Avenue at 54th Street in Manhattan.  The Grammy Award winning-artist passed on March 8 after a long illness at 64 years of age.

In addition to remarks from family and friends, Valentin’s long time group will perform, led by pianist / musical director Bill O’Connell, with bassist Ruben Rodríquez, drummer Robby Ameen, and percussionist Sammy Figueroa. Additional musicians expected to perform include flutists Andrea Brachfeld, Connie Grossman, and Karen Joseph as well as trombonist Papo Vázquez, baritone saxophonist Ronnie Cuber, tres guitarist Nelson González, trumpeter Pete Nater and other artists to be announced.

Heralded as “the Pied Piper of the Bronx,” Dave Valentin was born of Puerto Rican parents in 1952 and lived his entire life in the borough. His love for music started quite early; playing bongos and congas before he was 10 and even working Latin clubs in New York by 12. His talent and interest took him to the High School of Music and Art in New York City, where he began studying percussion. Valentin changed to flute and complemented his formal education at school with private classes under master flutist Hubert Laws. While teaching music in the South Bronx public schools, Valentin appeared on his first recording in 1977 with Ricardo Marrero and the Group.  Two years later, he was the first artist to be signed to the popular GRP recording label, where he made some fifteen recordings as a leader.  In 2002, he won a Grammy Award with vibraphonist Dave Samuels and saxophonist / clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera for the Caribbean Jazz Project’s recording The Gathering.  In addition to leading his own groups, Valentin served as musical director for Tito Puente and his Golden Men of Latin Jazz.

There is no admission charge to the service, and seating is general admission.  Donations can be made in Dave Valentin’s memory to Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education in the Bronx or the Jazz Foundation of America.

For more information, please contact the Hostos Center for the Arts & Culture at (718) 518-4455.

For facility information, please call St. Peter’s Church at (212) 935-2200.

Recorded at: Teaneck Sound Studio, New Jersey December 12 & 13, 2016 ngineer, Mixing and Mastering: Dave Kowalski

Produced by: Ronny Whyte

Ronny Whyte is of that rare breed: a seasoned performer, comfortable in the concert hall, dinner club, jazz room or cabaret. He doesn’t simply play and sing notes: he understands the lyrics and he tells the story. You believe him when he displays shades of Whyte in this aptly titled CD and exclaims “The Song is You”and “I Love the Way You Dance”. There’s heartfelt sincerity in his requests to “Linger Awhile” and “Love Me Tomorrow”, he no doubt means it in “I’ll Tell You What”. An imaginative arrangement of that ‘50s tale of a young girl’s awakening may strike a nostalgic note in “Nina Never Knew”.

This collection is also seasoned with “A Little Samba” and a trio of songs with a Bossa Nova beat. Some vintage Jerome Kern, Blossom Dearie, Vernon Duke, Lerner & Lane and Schwartz & Dietz round out the program with style and heart. I am delighted to add this bouquet to

my collection.  —Elliott Ames WVOX- AM 1460, WVOX.com

FROM THE COMPOSER:
Will Connell lived his music. One day, on the way home from a gig, Will turned to me and said,” Man, the world has got to hear your music. The world NEEDS to hear your music.” Then he gave me a slot in a residency he was curating at John Zorn’s place, The Stone. That’s how Will was. As we got closer to Christmas week, I emailed him about rehearsal. He didn’t respond. I called him. No response. Very unlike Will. I later received a call from Ras Moshe Burnett telling me Will was in the hospital. A routine procedure had gone wrong. Will was in a coma and passed a few days later.

The residency went on as planned. The air was heavy, but filled with love and respect. The Stone was packed with standing room only for the entire week. This performance was recorded live. Will used to sign his emails, “Peas and Lub” and so this CD, Peace and Love is dedicated with much love to the spirit of Will Connell.

BIOGRAPHY:
Rocco has built a career that straddles his early influences of “in” versus “out “. Recognizing the rich and vibrant community of New York improvisatory musicians, Rocco started the Improvisational Composers Ensemble (ICE) as an outlet for music that features improvisation as a major compositional element. PEACE AND LOVE is his fourth album as leader/composer and his second on the UR label along with EMBRACE THE CHANGE.

“Rocco John Iacovone draws from a deep well for his musical inspiration, with sources as diverse as Eric Dolphy, JS Bach, Charlie Parker and Nadia Boulanger. “Terrell Holmes, All about Jazz

“Saxophonist Rocco John has studied with Sam Rivers and Lee Konitz and his distinctly apparent ability to both compose and improvise in the Jazz idiom clearly reflects the lessons learned from these masters.” Russ Musto, All About jazz

Don’t miss this rare state side appearance, as the band is coming all the way from Australia to celebrate the release of their Album, Urban Soul.

From beginning to end, listeners will hear the pair’s innate instincts, the perfect partnership, the gorgeous groove of two friends making music. “We love jazz beyond the traditional sense,” says Albare. “I think that Jazz of the 21st Century is all encompassing. There are no limits.”

The collaboration between Guitarist Albare and Phil Turcio started 27 years ago when Albert Dadon   aka Albare   was looking for a new pianist for his band. At the time Phil had just turned 18. Since their first encounter, Phil’s and Albare’s paths keep on intersecting.

Phil explains that he and Albare hear music in the same way, “Everything I throw at Albare comes back as if I would have played it myself.” Albare likes to describe Phil as his musical soul mate.

They are joined by Gerry Pantazis on drums and Peter Mollica on bass.

About the New CD URBANITY Urban Soul

The collaboration between Albare and Phil Turcio started 27 years ago when Albert Dadon – aka Albare – was looking for a new pianist for his band. At the time Phil had just turned 18. Albare recalls, “He was not even the youngest member of the band then; our drummer just turned17.” “These guys sounded so good, itwas a pleasure already to play with them.” Phil explains that he and Albare hear music in the same way, “Everything I throw at Albare comes back as if I would have played it myself.” From beginning to end, listeners will hear the duo’s innate instincts, the perfect partnership, the gorgeous groove of two friends making music. “We love jazz, but not in the traditional sense,” says Albare. “I think that Jazz of the 21st Century is all encompassing. There are no limits.” That thought is evident as Albare and Phil Turcio come together as Urbanity.

HUGH BRODIE

The Storied Jazz Veteran Hugh Brodie made his final trip to the astral plane on Wednesday April 5, 2017.
He played tenor and soprano saxophones, clarinet, flute, sang, and like his 2nd cousin the great Ella Fitzgerald, Hugh scatted with relevant melodic fluency.

Hugh devoted his entire life to jazz, developing his own sound, creating his own music and executing his own unique musical visions.
He was taught and encouraged by the greats before him and he, in turn, passed on his collected knowledge to many to those who played on the bandstand with him or, who sought him out at his home in Monticello, NY.

He has many recordings to his credit, played with the famous Illinois Jacquet big band, traveled the world, produced his own music and appeared in movies and modeled throughout his life.

In 2013, Hugh was awarded a “Certificate of Appreciation,” by the Jazz Foundation of America.
It said in part, “Your artistry and recordings have reached to the spiritual and emotional core of the true Jazz Experience.”

When asked to describe himself, he first says, “I am a creator,” then, “I am a searcher.”

The Snarky Horns 4:00PM

The horn section The Snarky Horns are the long time horn section for the Multi-Grammy award winning group Snarky Puppy. MORRISTOWN JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL SATURDAY, AUGUST 19th

MORRISTOWN
JAZZ & BLUES FESTIVAL

SATURDAY, AUGUST 19th

Much Anticipated Free Festival Brings Top Artists to the Green

The seventh annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival will be held on the Green in Morristown, New Jersey on Saturday, August 19, from noon until 10:00 p.m. This year’s free concert has a Jersey link for four out of the five groups to appear.

The festival begins at noon with the Grammy Award-winning Vince Giordano & the Nighthawks, undoubtedly one of the best known and most popular jazz bands in the country. Performing the music of the Twenties and Thirties, the Nighthawks have appeared in many films including “Carol,” “The Cotton Club,” “The Aviator,” and “Finding Forrester.”  And it was their music and frequent performances on the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire” that made them an international sensation and provided a close link with the Atlantic City of the Prohibition Era.

At two o’clock, legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli returns to the stage with his quintet featuring his long-time partner Ed Laub on guitar, his number two son Martin Pizzarelli on bass, the young sensation Linus Wyrsch on sax, and Ken Levinsky on piano. Born and raised in Peterson, Bucky may be 91 but he maintains a youthful exuberance and unparalleled virtuosity on his distinctive seven string guitar. Bucky is in the New Jersey Hall of Fame among his many honors.

Then at four, thanks to the law firm of Sherman Wells, the festival is proud to bring back to the stage Louis Prima Jr. and the Witnesses who were a sensation in 2016. The band not only plays the music of his incomparable father, including such hits as “Jump Jive ‘an Wail,” “Just a Gigilo,” and “Sing Sing Sing,” they very much have their own sound and material. Louis Prima Jr. has close ties to New Jersey as his mother Gia Maione Prima was raised in Toms River and graduated from Toms River High School before embarking on her own singing career.

At six o’clock, the music turns the blues with six-time Blues Music Award nominee Ana Popovic and her band. The California-based guitar-player and singer tours the world and has become a popular performer at blues festivals both here and abroad. She was the only female guitarist invited to be part of the Experience Hendrix Tour, sharing the stage with stars like Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and Zakk Wilde. And her records routinely reach the top of the Billboard Blues Charts.

The full day of music concludes with The Walter Trout Band led by the critically-acclaimed guitarist. Walter Trout was born and raised in Ocean City, New Jersey before moving to Los Angeles to break into the blues circuit. He quickly earned a reputation backing greats such as John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton, Lowell Fulsom, Percy Mayfield, and Joe Tex. In 1981, he became lead guitarist for Canned Heat where legendary bluesman John Mayall heard him and invited him to join the Bluesbreakers. Following in that group’s tradition of great guitars, such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, and Mick Taylor, helped Trout solidify his reputation as a top player. When he finally went out on his own, he became a chart-topping star in Europe. He is a 3-time winner of the “Overseas Artist of the Year” from the British Blues Awards, a winner of the prestigious Sena European Guitar Award, a 3-time Blues Music Award nominee, a top-ten guitar player in the BBC’s Guitarist Listeners’ Poll, and a winner of two Blues Music Awards in 2016.

The Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival is made possible thanks to Mayor Tim Dougherty and the Town of Morristown. It takes place on the Green in Morristown from noon until 10:00 p.m. Admission is free and many local restaurants offer specials for festival attendees. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

THE JAZZ POWER INITIATIVE (JPI)
TO HOLD SPRING BENEFIT GALA,
EVENING OF CELEBRATION AND SONG” ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 7, FROM 7-9 PM
AT THE DIMENNA  CENTER, NEW YORK

Honorees: Bob Dorough, Barbara Murray, Kirk Imamura;

Host: Ron Claiborne, ABC News

New York, NY, May 18, 2017The Jazz Power Initiative (formerly The Jazz Drama Program) will hold its Spring Benefit Gala — An Evening of Celebration and Song — on Wednesday, June, 7, 2017 from 7 – 9 PM at The Dimenna Center, New York (450 West 37th Street), it was announced today by Eli Yamin, the organization’s Managing and Artistic Director. The proceeds will sustain the efforts of The Jazz Power Initiative to transform lives through jazz arts education. Wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres will be served and guests will have an opportunity to interact with the artists and special guests.

This Special Event will honor Bob Dorough, a legendary jazz ambassador, composer, educator and creator of the seminal ABC-TV’s Schoolhouse Rock educational series; Barbara Murray, Director of Music, NYC Department of Education; and Kirk Imamura, Avatar Studios & former JPI Board member. The evening will be hosted by ABC newsman Ron Claiborne and will feature performances by Bob Dorough with Zah! Jazz Youth Ensemble.

“Some of the first jazz lyrics I, and millions of other children (and parents) heard were from BOB DOROUGH on Saturday mornings on Schoolhouse Rock. I can’t wait to thank Bob in person for his inspiration and hope the audience will join us singing the chorus of Conjunction Junction, WHAT’S YOUR FUNCTION?,” says Eli Yamin.“ “BARBARA MURRAY has been a force for music education in New York City for decades and we are thrilled to honor her distinguished career upon her retirement from the Department of Education. KIRK IMAMURA joined the Board of Directors in 2010 and was the executive producer for three CDs of Jazz Drama Musicals at Avatar Studios. We are eternally grateful for his time, expertise and devotion to bringing the message of Jazz Power to audiences internationally!”

The Jazz Power Initiative was founded in 2003 as the Jazz Drama Program a 501(c)3) non-profit by jazz musician/  educator Eli Yamin and teacher/writer Clifford Carlson to  involve and excite young people in and about the great American art form — JAZZ.  To fully capture the transformational impact of the great work of the organization, its leadership, including Mr. Yamin and the Board of Directors and Advisors recently renamed itself The Jazz Power Initiative and refocused its mission:  To ignite the power of jazz arts education to transform lives by fostering self-expression, leadership, collaboration and diversity.

“We believe JAZZ inherently offers invaluable lessons in self-expression, empathy, leadership, cooperation, out-of-the-box thinking, trust, respect and being present in the moment, “ says Yamin. “We believe nurturing these values in our youth and communities through the power of jazz arts education can make the world a better place. By creating new jazz musicals, recording CDs, distributing scores and scripts and offering professional development for teachers and workshops for students, The Jazz Power Initiative is building new audiences and stakeholders in the jazz arts through the media of storytelling, music, theatre, dance and visual arts.  But, with the uncertain future of public arts funding, our ability to execute our mission and transform lives through Jazz Arts Education is at risk.  This event is our major fundraiser for the year and private support is desperately needed so that we can continue and expand our program and build on the great successes we have already achieved.”

JPI is committed to promoting the humanitarian values of jazz and giving jazz artists including musicians, singers, dancers, actors and storytellers, meaningful platforms to create, share their knowledge and artistry, and pass it on. To date, JPI musicals have seen over 80 performances in fourteen states and five countries, involving thousands of young people and their families in sustained exposure and involvement in the jazz arts.  Support for the organization goes towards training 100 young people and 40 teachers from 20 different schools in JPI methods, and initiating an ongoing jazz residency at the United Palace of Cultural Arts in Washington Heights.

Tickets to the Jazz Power Initiative Gala Benefit on Wednesday, June 7, are available by donations to The Jazz Power Initiative and are tax deductible.  Here are the ticket packages:
